Our Commissions & The Board of Stewards
At Bay Shore our congregation governs the church and shapes our collective ministry. Many church members serve on one of our eight commissions which organize and oversee our various ministries. Two representatives from each commission, along with our church officers and our ministers serve on the central governing body, the Board of Stewards. Take a look at each commission page to find out more. And if you have questions about Bay Shore, please contact us.
Every third Saturday of the month, our Fellowship Club members host a potluck dinner at a member’s home. These are great events in which to get to know fellow church members. For details on the next Fellowship Club dinner and other upcoming opportunities for fellowship, please see the Calendar of Events.
In addition to our weekly Fellowship Time after worship, we often have Fifth Sunday Brunches in our Fellowship Hall whenever there is a fifth Sunday in a month. These are fun, intergenerational fellowship opportunities and the food is great too!
Interested in Membership?
Every few months we offer a Bay Shore Church Orientation Meeting for anyone who is interested in learning more about membership at Bay Shore Church. All are welcome to attend and there is no obligation to join afterwards unless you are ready to make that commitment. Meetings are announced in worship and added to the calendar when they are scheduled. If you have specific questions about the church, please contact the church office or one of the pastors and we would be happy to speak with you.
Bay Shore Church also currently provides space for four 12 Step Meetings each week. These are all open meetings.
