LENT AND EASTER SERVICES AND EVENTS at BAY SHORE CHURCH
MARCH 7, Third Sunday in Lent - During our 9:30 service, the Chancel Choir will sing Let Us Break Bread Together. The Rev. Susan Bjork's sermon is "Fertilizer, Figs & Faith," based on Luke 13:1-9. Sacrament of Communion.
MARCH 14, Fourth Sunday in Lent - During our 9:30 service, the Chancel Choir will sing Kyrie. The Rev. Susan Bjork's sermon is "The Prodigal," based on Luke 15:11-32. We receive the One Great Hour of Sharing offering.
MARCH 21, Fifth Sunday in Lent - During our 9:30 service, the Chancel Choir will offer their Lenten Cantata: What Wondrous Love, narration and music compilation by Julie Ramsey.
MARCH 28, Palm Sunday and Music Appreciation - Our 9:30 service will include a children's palm processional and musical offerings by the Bay Shore Bells, Chancel and Children's Choirs. A cake reception for our musicians along with an Easter children's craft project will follow worship.
APRIL 1, Maundy Thursday - Our 7:00 p.m. Communion service in Gabrielson Chapel will observe the Last Supper with readings from scripture and music from Taizé.
APRIL 2, Good Friday - Our sanctuary will be open from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for private prayer and reflection.
APRIL 4, Easter - Our 9:00 and 10:30 services in celebration of Christ's Resurrection will include music by the Chancel Choir, Bay Shore Bells, brass quartet, and timpani. You will have an opportunity to join the choir in singing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. Fellowship time at 10:00.
